Our Next Tryout:

July Premiere Travel Team Tryouts

This is our most competitive program and includes the most extensive travel schedule.

For High School Age Players: Teams 15u through 17u
Our "Premiere Team" Program consists of 2 teams at each age level. For example: 15-1, 15-2, 16-1 etc...
Saturday July 25th - 15s - 16s - 17s

We will also offer our Coast Team Local League program October for players who prefer less travel and a more local focus.

2026/2027 Team Tryouts Schedule

We offer four great team options so every athlete can find the right fit.

Premiere travel Teams

Our most competitive level. Comprised of our top 2 teams at each age group. These teams play in the regional USA Volleyball SC league. They will also have some travel out of state to compete Nationally. "1s" and "2s" teams may have different out of state travel schedules.

Tryouts for the 2026/27 Season

15u–17u: Saturday, July 25th
12u–14u: Saturday, October 3rd

Monthly cost is approximately $425/mo for a 7 month season.

Coast Teams

Coast teams play in a newer local league in its 3rd year. Created through a collaboration between Rise and other area clubs. This is a great option for strong local competition with less travel. We see the desire for more affordable club team options without the extensive travel. Coast league is our answer!!

Tryouts for the 2026/27 Season

12u–14u: Sunday, October 4th
15u & 16u: Sunday, October 11th

Monthly cost is approximately $325/mo for a 5 month season

Swells Program

Swells is Rise Volleyball’s non-travel, local team program — a fantastic option for younger athletes 5th through 8th grade who want the experience of being on a real team with dedicated coaching, without the heavier time and financial commitment of Travel Teams. We have been running the Swells Program for 10 years and it is by far the most successful entry level Team program in the area. Last year we fielded 17 teams and saw so many players experience the game for the first time in the team format.

Tryouts for the 2026/27 Season

5th/6th grade: Saturday, November 14

7th/8th grade: Sunday, November 15

Monthly cost is approximately $195/mo for a 5 month season

Age Groups Guide

11u – Typically 5th grade
12u – Typically 6th grade
13u – Typically 7th grade
14u – Typically 8th grade
15u – Typically Freshman
16u – Typically Sophomore
17u / 18u – Typically Junior / Senior

Players may have the opportunity to play up an age group when it’s a good fit, but we do not allow playing down. Our goal is always to place each athlete in the environment that best supports her development.

*What does “u” mean in 12u, 14u, 15u, etc.?: The “u” stands for “Under.” So, 12u means 12 and Under — players who are 12 years old or younger as of the cutoff date (usually July 1st). This age-group system helps us create fair and fun teams where athletes are grouped with others of similar age and physical development.
